Azzyland

Azzyland was born on February 23, 1991, in Canada. Azra Bajrami is her real name. She has a sister who too, is a gamer. Azzyland graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University, majoring in chemistry and biology. She then opted for medicine as her parents wanted her to pursue it.

Azzyland is in a relationship with the popular YouTuber, Jordi van den Bussche, who is best known as Kwebbelkop. They were introduced to each other by a common friend at the after-party of ‘E3’ which is a large gaming conference held annually. Initially, they hadn’t disclosed about their relationship until a fellow YouTuber named John Scarce leaked the news.

Azzyland owns a penthouse in Toronto. She currently lives with Jordi in Spain. They own a cat named Zorro. Gaming plays an important role in Azzyland’s life as her hobby has acted as her lifesaver on many occasions. Azzyland has always turned towards gaming during her difficult times. Also, she loves the fact that gaming allows her to meet and talk to new people. Her favorite game is ‘The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.’

Azzyland was introduced to gaming by her father and uncle. She grew up watching them play video games. At the age of seven, Azzyland was introduced to the game, ‘The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’, and that turned out to be a life-changing experience for her.

When she grew up, she decided to make a career out of gaming. She quit her medical studies to focus more on her gaming and YouTube career. Azzyland then started experimenting with cosplays. In her first cosplay, she represented a character called Vegeta from the famous Japanese animated series, ‘Dragon Ball Z.’ In one of her videos, she stated that her all-time favorite cosplay character is Zelda from the video game series, ‘The Legend of Zelda.’

She then filmed all her cosplay activities and posted them on her YouTube channel, which she had created in order to post her cosplay videos. Azzyland’s videos were instant hit and took the internet by storm. She was soon seen participating as an official cosplay artist in almost all the conventions around the world.

Her instant success caught the attention of the famous YouTuber, McCrudden, who went on to interview her. While interviewing her, McCrudden found her appealing in front of the camera. He then offered her an opportunity to host his YouTube show, ‘Before They Were Famous.’

Her initial days as a host gave her nightmares as she often got confused with the names of the celebrities. One such incident got her into trouble when she addressed the famous gamer FaZe Jen as Jason Eugene Vonderhaar. Post the incident, she became the subject of many memes and there was also a public backlash against her. She then had to post an apology video which was appreciated by FaZe Jen.
