Austin North

Austin North was born on July 30, 1996, in Cincinnati, a city in Ohio, the United States. His mother’s name is Karen. He has an older sister named Lauren.

Since he was a child, North has been interested in the performing arts. When he was eight years old, he landed a role in a church Christmas play. This was his first foray into acting. Soon after, he, along with his family, moved to Atlanta, Georgia. One day, he reluctantly attended a talent showcase with his sister. This turned out to be a life-changing event. He received positive feedback from the talent scouts present at the showcase and encouraged by that, his parents decided to move once more, this time to Los Angeles where he could pursue an acting career. He was 13 years old at the time.

North’s favourite sport is basketball. He also likes to surf. He graduated from high school in June 2015. He presently lives with his parents, sister, and their two dogs in Los Angeles. North has previously dated his ‘I Didn’t Do It’ co-star Piper Curda. In 2018, he began dating Sadie Robertson, the daughter of ‘Duck Dynasty’ star Willie Robertson.

In 2011, Austin North made his debut as a guest star in Disney XD’s martial-arts inspired comedy series ‘Kickin’ It’. Portraying Ricky Weaver, he appeared in the eponymous episode of the first season. His next appearance was in ABC’s incredibly popular soap opera ‘General Hospital’. He played an uncredited character named Bodhi in one episode of the show.

In 2012, North made yet another guest appearance in Disney Channel’s teen sitcom ‘A.N.T. Farm’. Playing a character named Holland, North appeared as Chyna Parks' (China Anne McClain) love interest in the season two episode ‘MutANT Farm II’. In 2013, North was cast as Dean in an episode of Nick at Nite’s ‘See Dad Runs’.

North has been appearing on Disney shows since 2011. However, it was only in 2012 that he was cast as part of the main cast in a Disney series. The show was ‘I Didn’t Do It’ and the character was Logan Watson. The show premiered on January 17, 2014, on Disney Channel and starred Olivia Holt, Piper Curda, Peyton Clark, and Sarah Gilman besides North. The show revolved around the twin siblings Logan and Lindy (Holt), who, along with their three best friends Jasmine (Curda), Garrett (Clark), and Delia (Gilman), start their freshman year at Ditka High School.

All episodes in the first season began with a comedic "what just happened" situation and then the rest of the episode was narrated via flashback. However, in the season two, the creators chose to follow a regular format instead.

North portrayed Logan Watson as a laid back, cool, and confident teenager with a grand plan of making his mark in the high school. He is not the most dedicated or intelligent student but is compassionate and kind to others. The show was concluded after two seasons, with its final episode airing on October 16, 2015. North also appeared as Logan in an episode of another Disney Channel comedy, ‘Jessie’.
