Miller was born on August 8, 2001 in California, the USA. Little to no information is available on her family and childhood. She has been home-schooled by her mother. Dancing was her first love and she started taking lessons when she was three years old. At one point, she even wanted to move to Los Angeles to further her career as a dancer. She eventually found a dance agent who agreed to represent her and that led to her casting on Nickelodeon’s ‘The Fresh Beat Band’. She is classically trained in a variety of dance forms and often posts dance covers of popular songs on her YouTube channel. In 2011, she appeared as a dancer in the finals of the inaugural season of NBC’s ‘The Voice’.
Aubrey Miller’s first acting job was in the critically and commercially successful Indian film ‘My Name is Khan’, which also starred Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Sheetal Menon and was released in 2010. She subsequently appeared in another Indian film, Siddharth Anand’s directorial venture, ‘Anjaana Anjaani’.
In 2012, her third film, a Greek-American project called ‘A Green Story’, was released. That year, Miller made her small screen debut by guest-starring in an episode of Disney XD’s ‘Kickin' It. She also appeared in Rondell Sheridan’s short film ‘Wordplay’.
Miller played Jr. Kiki in the American live-action musical preschool television series ‘The Fresh Beat Band’ that aired on Nickelodeon from August 24, 2009 to December 7, 2013. It was created by Scott Kraft and Nadine van der Velde and starred Kraft, van der Velde, Heather MacGillvray, Kim Duran, and Linda Mathious. Miller’s Jr. Kiki first appeared in a season three episode in 2012 and would go on to make appearances 13 more times on the show.
In 2012, she also was cast as the recurring character Megan Smith in Disney Channel’s ‘Austin & Ally’, appearing in three episodes of season two. In the following year, she was cast in the short film ‘Super Impossible Squad’ as Autumn 'The Boss'. In Nickelodeon’s ‘Sam & Cat’ television series, she portrayed the character Ellie in the season one episode ‘#MyPoober’. In Showtime’s comedy-drama ‘Shameless’, she appeared in the season four episode named after her character, Emily. In another Showtime TV series, ‘Californication’, she played a character that was credited as 11-year-old Becca. Miller also portrayed Tess Dynamite in the season one episode ‘Get Sporty-er!’ of Nickelodeon’s ‘Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn’.
In 2015, she played Maddy Kolinsky in the American drama film ‘Spare Parts’. She also appeared in the popular ABC sitcom ‘Fresh Off the Boat’. In the family adventure film ‘Little Savages’ (2016), she shared screen space with the likes of Noah Lomax, Aedin Mincks, and Leigh-Allyn Baker. She also did her first voice-over work in 2016, in an episode of Disney Junior’s ‘Whisker Haven Tales with the Palace Pets’, lending her voice to a character called Muffin.
Miller is a vegan and was ranked 13th on Mercy for Animal’s 30 Under 30 List, which was published in March 2018.
