Ato Essandoh

Ato Essandoh was born on July 29, 1972 in Schenectady, New York to parents who hailed from Ghana. He studied at New Rochelle High School and graduated from there in the year 1990. He then attended the Cornell University, earning his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. Currently, Essandoh is a member of the University’s Phi Kappa Psi fraternity and also the Irving Literary Society. Ato Essandoh began his acting career in 2001 by appearing in the TV show ‘Third Watch’. Then he did the movies ‘Garden State’ and ‘Roger Dodger’. In 2005, he appeared in the television show titled ‘Commander in Chief’ as well as appeared in the films ‘Hitch’, ‘Prime’ and ‘Saving Face’. A year later, the American actor was cast in the flick ‘Blood Diamond’. During that time, he also got featured in NBC’s ‘Conviction’.

Soon after this, Essandoh appeared in the flick ‘Falling for Grace’ as well as in the show ‘Law & Order’. In 2008, he acted in the movie ‘Nights in Rodanthe’.
