Ashley Tisdale

Ashley Tisdale was romantically involved with Jared Murillo from 2007 to 2009 and Scott Speer from 2009 to 2011. In 2012, she began dating Christopher French, the lead singer of the band Annie Automatic. The two became engaged in August 2013 and finally married on September 8, 2014, in a small private ceremony in Santa Barbara, California.

Ashley Tisdale was born on July 2, 1985, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, to a Christian father Michael Tisdale and a Jewish mother Lisa Morris. She has an elder sister, Jennifer. Her father was a contractor by profession.

A prodigious child, Ashley Tisdale’s tryst with the camera began at the tender age of three. A chance meeting with Bill Perlman, her future manager, at a mall led her to audition for various commercials and advertisements. Consequently, she starred in more than 100 advertisements on national network TV.

Almost immediately as she featured in commercials, Tisdale’s career in theatre also began. She first featured in ‘Gypsy: A Musical Fable’ and ‘The Sound of Music’ at Monmouth County's Jewish Community Center.

At the age of eight, she landed the role of Cosette in the musical ‘Les Misérables’. Following this, she toured for two years with ‘Les Misérables’ before landing a role in a touring production of ‘Annie’ in Korea.

Starting from the late 1990s, Tisdale did several minor roles in television shows including ‘The Hughleys’, ‘Smart Guy’, ‘7th Heaven’, ‘Boston Public’ and ‘Bette.’ She even did a couple of films such as ‘A Bug’s Life’ and ‘Donnie Darko’. Additionally, she also modelled for Ford Models.

Ashley Tisdale starred as a teenage candy-counter girl in the television series ‘The Suite Life of Zack & Cody’, which premiered in 2005. Running until September 2008, the series won Tisdale her first independent award.

The highlight of Ashley Tisdale’s acting career was the High School Musical franchise. Including a trilogy and a spin-off, the series was a major hit and exhibited Tisdale’s artistic talents to the fullest. She was brilliant in her role of Sharpay Evans and was critically and commercially praised.

Along with praise for her acting talent, she has garnered equal amount of appreciation for her singing as well. Her debut album, ‘Headstrong’ was a stunning success and certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Her second studio album, ‘Guilty Pleasure’ was also successful.
