Ashlee Rumfallo

Ashlee Terry Allen was born on January 12, 1980, and has a Brazilian half-sister. She attended Brigham Young University from 1998 to 2002 and graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree. She was the captain of the women’s swimming team at BYU and also received a scholarship for swimming.

Her first marriage was to entrepreneur, business owner and photographer Aaron Rumfallo, with whom she has three children: daughters Brynn and Sadie, and son Noah. The two later divorced. She is currently married to Michael Allen. They both are involved with the company Midas Financial. She now lives in Chandler, Arizona, and has two pet dogs, Lucy and Gigi.

She has been friends with fellow dance mom and mother of Kalani Hilliker, Kira Girard, who is also from Arizona, years before they met on the sets of the show. Both their daughters trained at Club Dance Studio in Arizona.

Ashlee Rumfallo, a mother and a homemaker, decided to turn her art projects into a home-based business in August 2007. She founded the interior design and home décor start-up business, Splinters, right from her garage. She was responsible for sales of interior design products and services, and also trained sales staff to provide consultancy to customers.

She first gained media attention after her daughter Brynn Rumfallo participated as a contestant on the 8th Season of ‘America's Got Talent’ in 2013. Along with Brynn, she then participated in Lifetime’s hit dance reality show ‘Dance Mom’ in September 2015. During the fifth season of the show, they appeared on the show as guest stars, and joined the cast as fulltime members in the first episode of the next season on January 5, 2016. Throughout the season they were pitted against another dancer, Kendall K, and her mother Jill Vertes, by the network, which contributed to the ratings of the show. She has gained a sizable number of followers on various social media platforms due her television appearances. She currently has over 267k followers on Instagram and 137k followers on Twitter.

On March 8, 2016, radaronline.com reported that Ashlee Rumfallo and her then husband Aaron Rumfallo filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy in January 2008. The two together owed a total of over $1.4 million to creditors. The average monthly expense of the couple exceeded their joint monthly income. The case was eventually discharged three months later in April; however, they were forced to surrender one of their homes, their 1996 Dodge Stealth and their 2005 Toyota Scion.

Ashlee and her daughter were invited to make guest appearance on ‘Dance Moms’ after Brynn won a scholarship in the ALDC Dance Off. As an exceptional performer, she was able to impress ALDC coach Abby Lee Miller, who saw her as a replacement for her longtime favorite, Maddie Ziegler, who was leaving the show. However, older cast members of the show, who were already in a race among themselves to replace Maddie, didn’t take her favorite status well. As a result, the mother and the daughter faced constant criticism from the other dance moms.

However, despite being portrayed as sworn enemies on the show, she maintains that there is no enmity between her and Jill Vertes.

In April 2017, she announced that she and her daughter will leave ‘Dance Moms’ as they were “being manipulated, disrespected, and used” by male show-runners. Soon after Ashlee announced their departure from the show, she was targeted by former dance mom Christi Lukasiak for performing with other ALDC members. Lukasiak, without naming anyone, mentioned in a cryptic message that it is hypocritical to criticize a show on media and shooting for it the very next day. It is important to note that Ashlee and Brynn left the show soon after controversial choreographer Abby Lee Miller was replaced by Cheryl Burke.
