Antonio Ramos

Antonio Ramos was born on February 17, 1986 in the Bronx, New York, the United States of America. Little is known about his family. His love for the performing arts blossomed when he was a child. He grew up participating in dance and drama programs in his high school. After graduating, he moved to Miami, Florida where he started attending Miami-Dade College. Ramos eventually graduated with a 3.8 GPA for his associate’s degree in Mass Communication and bachelor’s degree in Film Production. In 2015, he relocated to Los Angeles, California.

Tonio has two children, a son, Antonio Ramos Jr., and a daughter, Ayanna.

Tonio started off his journey towards social media stardom on Twitter. He created his account on the platform in September 2011. About four years later, in March 2015, he posted his first short video on Vine. He worked hard and as his content was better than most of what others were producing, his account soon gained traction. By early-to-mid 2016, he had garnered more than 600,000 followers. Vine shut down for good in early 2017, but by then Tonio had begun landing opportunities that would transform his social media popularity into mainstream fame.

He has over two million followers on Instagram, 2.3 million followers on Facebook, and about 11 thousand followers on Twitter. Furthermore, he created his YouTube channel in May 2013 and uploaded his first video exactly a year later, in May 2014. As of 2018, he has accumulated 63 thousand subscribers and 4.6 million views on the channel.

In 2016, this self-proclaimed Latin King of Social Media Comedy became the first Latin cast member of MTV’s sketch comedy and improv television series ‘Wild N’ Out’. First appearing in the season eight episode that featured Timbaland, Jay Leno, Lyfe Jennings, Kehlani, and Les Twins, Tonio was featured in the eighth, ninth, tenth, and eleventh seasons of the show.

Tonio made his debut as an actor in the 2008 drama film ‘Wild Sunflowers’, portraying the character Joe, a limo driver, and was credited as Tony Ray. In 2016, he appeared in the pilot episode of the web series ‘Cringeworthy’. That year, he also appeared in Nicolle M. Whalen’s short film ‘Gooned’.

In 2017, he was featured in the fantasy short film ‘Little Red Riding Hood's Untold Story’. In 2018, he portrayed small roles in the short film ‘If Only!’ and comedy film ‘I Hate LA’. He is set to star as a character named Ryder in the upcoming horror film ‘Slasher Party’.
