Antonella Roccuzzo

Lionel Messi and Antonella started dating back in 2009 after being friends for more than 2 decades. Messi had come back home for Christmas and that was the time when they started dating.

The couple got engaged in a private ceremony in 2010 and have two sons, Thiago and Matio. Messi has said several times that he would be marrying Antonella soon but when the time is right.

As of now, Antonella is living in her hometown Rosari, but she keeps making trips to Barcelona to meet her ‘soon to be husband’ Messi.

Antonella Roccuzzo was born in Rosario, Argentina on 26th February 1988 to a businessman father, Jose Roccuzzo, and a homemaker mother, Patricia Blanko. Antonella has two sisters, Paula and Carla Roccuzzo back home.

Antonella and Messi had been childhood friends and she revealed that she has known Messi since they were kids. Antonella grew up and did her schooling in her hometown, however, she was interested in pursuing a career in nutrition, but she felt herself drifting towards modelling. It was a result of her immense dedication towards keeping her body healthy.

Antonella has said that she was a shy child, and she didn’t have many friends and hence, had mostly a lonesome childhood. Messi visited his hometown during breaks from his stints as a footballer and they would spend some time together.

Antonella Roccuzzo has worked as a model for different products and has also reportedly acted in a few films. She left her education midway when she moved in with Messi but sometime later, she resumed her graduation degree. A few of her bikini clad pictures became a rage on social media back in 2012.

Messi has confessed that he was always in love with her but never had the courage to ask her out. He was able to do that only with the help of his cousin, who happened to be Antonella’s best friend.

Antonella has kept her Instagram account private, regardless of millions of followers. She states her shy nature as the reason behind wanting to lead a private life. She also isn’t much vocal about her career and most of it remains largely unknown.
