Although it may seem all hunky-dory on the outside, Angie’s life has been riddled with dramatic ups and downs. She created quite the buzz when she posed nude for the cover of Adult Entertainment Magazine Playboy. At 19 she met with a sky-diving accident and had a hard time being rehabilitated from her serious injuries. She has had to battle with thyroid cancer during her early forties. Angie had to undergo surgery in 2013 and file for bankruptcy in the face of staggering amount of medical expenses bills.
She has been linked to several prominent celebrities like Sylvester Stallone and Joe Pesci; she was engaged to both of them. She was also in a relationship with model, Chad Stansbury, with whom she had a son named Kyden. She has even been called Serial Dater due to her frequent linkups and breakups. She was married to Ashley Hamilton for less than a year.
Completely cancer-free and back in tremendously good shape, Angie is happily married to Carl Ferro, the president and co-founder of nutrition company, Sunfare. The couple lives in Hollywood Hills, LA, with their blended family, Angie’s son, Kayden, and Carl’s daughter, JoAnn, and their two dogs. One day cheering for her high school team in a huge Falcon outfit, and on the way to New York to become a super model, Angie Everhart’s journey to stardom has indeed been meteoric! Angie started her career quite early at the age of 14, when she was signed on by top modeling agency, New York Model Management.
She rose quickly to prominence by her determination and hard work. Despite the iconic Eileen Ford declaring that Redheads are not fashionable enough, Angie proved her wrong by being the first redhead to be featured in the cover of the Glamour magazine. She also graced the covers of the prestigious Elle magazine as a teenager.
She made herself a household name in American fashion industry and gained notoriety for her undaunted personality. Very soon she was chosen to be featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, not once or twice, but four times in a row.
She did fashion and print ad modeling in New York from sometime before moving to France in 1986 when she was just 17 years old, to take up fashion modeling full time.
She was one of the most successful redheads to do runway shows for haute couture brands. Angie also featured as the brand ambassadors for brands like Gianfranco Ferré, Lolita Lempicka, Chanel, Christian Dior, YSL Rive Gauche, Max Mara, Versace, Christian Lacroix, etc. and was the first redhead to bag a cosmetic contract with PHAS.
