Amanda Anka

Amanda Anka was born on December 10, 1968 in New York City, the USA to actor and musician Paul Anka and his model wife Anne de Zogheb. Her parents were married from 1963 to 2000 after which they separated. Anka has four sisters named Alicia, Amelia, Anthea, and Alexandra Anka. She also has a half-brother named Ethan Anka.

Coming to her love life, the actress has been married to actor Jason Bateman since 2001. The couple has two daughters: Francesca Nora Bateman and Maple Sylvie Bateman. Anka is the sister-in-law of popular actress Justine Bateman and daughter-in-law of director/actor/ producer Kent Bateman. She is best friends with the famous actress Jennifer Aniston.

Amanda Anka appeared in the 1992 flick ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ which catapulted her to instant fame. She then appeared in the French-American neo-noir flick ‘Lost Highway’ in 1997. She went on to play the role of Deputy Sheriff Mina in the slasher film ‘Cherry Falls’. In 2004, the actress got featured in the movie ‘Taxi’. She next appeared in the drama/Indie film ‘Lightbulb’. Anka has also guest starred in a number of TV shows such as ‘90210’, ‘Diagnosis Murder’ and ‘ER’, to name a few.

Amanda Anka came into the limelight when she accused hotelier Andre Balazs for groping her in 2014. The incident took place at a dinner party at London’s Chiltern Firehouse which was organized following the premiere of Anka’s husband’s movie ‘Horrible Bosses 2.’

According to Anka, Balazs—who is known for hosting celebrities from the entertainment industry at the Standard, the Mercer and the Chateau Marmont in New York—allegedly slipped his hand under the actress’ skirt and grabbed her crotch as she ascended a firehouse ladder that was erected for the guests to observe the grand view of London. The media sources also say that Anka hesitated to climb the ladder at first, but after Balazs insisted, she had to. When she told her husband, he reportedly confronted the hotelier and spit gum in his face. The couple left the hotel immediately.
