Aleisha Allen was born on 28 April 1991, in The Bronx, New York City to Otis LaNaé Allen and Angela LaNaé Allen. She was in a relationship with actor Tahj Mowry during the period 2003-07. Aleisha Allen is an alumna of the highly reputed ‘Professional Performing Arts School’, situated in Manhattan. Not many know that singer and songwriter Karina Pasian, American actor and singer Mark Indelicato, as well as singer Taylor Momsen were her classmates at the Arts school.
Aleisha Allen entered tinsel town at the age of four and appeared on a few print ads. Her major breakthrough as a child artiste was through the acclaimed television series ‘Blue’s Clues’, which was premiered on the channel ‘Nickelodeon’, back in 1996. She was next seen in the television series ‘Out Of The Box’, which was aired on the channel ‘Playhouse Disney’. Both these shows were quite popular among television viewers and helped Aleisha Allen get her fair share of visibility. Very soon, she bagged two other flicks, namely ‘The Best Man’ and ‘Blue’s Big Musical Movie’. Both these films released during the period 1999-00. She also essayed a small role in the 2001 flick ‘Elmo’s Magic Cookbook’. However, it was the 2003 blockbuster ‘School Of Rock’, which made Aleisha Allen famous across the whole of America. Her portrayal of the character ‘Brace Face’, in this Jack Black starrer got the attention of many people from tinsel town. She shared a nomination for ‘Best On-Screen team’ with the ensemble of ‘School Of Rock’, at the ‘MTV Movie Awards’, in 2004. She was next seen in the 2005 comedy movie ‘Are We There Yet?’ and its sequel ‘Are We Done Yet?’
The ensemble of these films included acclaimed Hollywood actor Ice Cube too. She then did a cameo in the 2010 children’s television series, ‘The Electric Company’. Not many know that Aleisha Allen was also seen in the 2011 flick ‘Young Adult’, which also starred Hollywood heartthrob Charlize Theron. She essayed the character, Sarah Johnson, in the 2012 film ‘You’re Nobody Till Somebody Kills You’, produced by acclaimed filmmaker Spike Lee. The actress is also quite popular on social media platforms like ‘Twitter’ and ‘Instagram’ and is being followed by a lot of people. Although Aleisha Allen had essayed small roles for several years, she was known for her ability to steal the show even in a short duration on screen. Probably that’s why she was chosen by the makers of ‘Are We There Yet?’ and its sequel.
