Aidan Miner was born on May 29, 2002, in Los Angeles, California. He has a brother named Riley and a sister named Delaney. Miner’s father has served in the US military and because of that, he was used to his parents being at different places for long periods of time due to his father’s overseas deployment. His mother is a music teacher. He was still a child when his parents divorced. Miner has stated that he used the frustration and anger he felt due to this in his acting roles. He would feel hurt whenever the other children at school spoke of their parents being together. However, in time, he came to accept it.

Miner can play various musical instruments but his favourites are the piano and keyboard. He began taking lessons when he was 12 years old. He has expressed an interest in learning how to play the saxophone one day. Miner has been a scout since the first grade and is presently working on to become an Eagle Scout.

In 2010, Aidan Miner began his acting career by playing a character credited simply as “kid #2” in the season one episode ‘The Bee’ of ABC’s sitcom ‘The Middle’. In AMC’s period drama television series ‘Mad Men, Miner guest-starred as a character credited as Glo-Coat Boy. He landed his first substantial role in ABC Family’s teen drama series ‘The Secret Life of the American Teenager’. Cast in the recurring role of Ronnie, he appeared in four episodes of season four of the show in 2011. His next role came about in Adult Swim’s black comedy series ‘Childrens Hospital’ in 2012.

Miner joined the cast of Nickelodeon’s ‘School of Rock,’ a musical comedy that premiered on the channel on March 12, 2016. Developed by Jim Armogida and Steve Armogida, it was based on the 2003 musical comedy film ‘School of Rock’, starring Jack Black, Joan Cusack, and Sarah Silverman. Miner was cast as Lawrence Dooley, a 12-year-old schoolboy who is generally considered the most intelligent kid in the class. He plays the electronic keyboard. In the original film, Lawrence was played by Robert Tsai. After airing three seasons, the show ended on April 8, 2018. Miner was cast in his first television film in 2017. He played a guy in the beach in Jonathan Judge’s directorial venture ‘Nickelodeon's Sizzling Summer Camp Special’. This was his first appearance in a Nickelodeon production.
