Mishler was born on September 29, 1984, in Austin, Texas, USA, to actor parents. Her mother, Melba Martinez, is Mexican-American. She was exposed to the theater and acting since young age and has been acting and performing since her childhood. She also was a gymnast and dancer, and worked as a dancer with various dance companies from Los Angeles, New York and Austin.
Following in the footsteps of her actor parents, she decided to go into acting and joined ‘SITI Company’ in New York. She was introduced to yoga at young age. At 18, Mishler took a course in ‘Kundalini Yoga’ and developed keen interest. Later, she signed up for 200 hours ‘Hatha Yoga Teacher Training.’
Mishler started her acting career with a small role as ‘Misty’ in the 2005 movie, ‘Fall to Grace.’ As a voice over artist, she has worked for the ‘DC Universe Online,’ lending her voice to various characters, including ‘Raven,’ ‘Supergirl,’ ‘Lois Lane’ and ‘Powergirl.’ She also provided her voice for video games, including ‘Wizard 101’ (2008), the ‘DC Universe Online’ video game (2011) and ‘Pirate 101’ (2012). She was the voice of ‘Quinn’ in the 2011 video game, ‘Serious Sam 3: BFE.’
In 2011, she portrayed a student in the TV series, ‘Friday Night Lights.’ Mishler appeared as ‘Z’ in the 2011 short comedy, ‘Z and Beau.’ During the same year, she essayed the role of ‘Maggie’ in the comedy film ‘Austin High’ by director Alan Deutsch. In the comedy drama, ‘Days of Delusion,’ (2011), she portrayed ‘Tanya.’
In the 2012 short drama, ‘A Day Without Roses,’ she portrayed the role of ‘Tracey,’ while she played the lead, ‘Leigh Rockwall,’ in the Sean Gallagher’s 2013 comedy drama ‘Good Night.’ In the crime drama, ‘Joe,’ (2013), directed by David Gordon Green, Mishler appeared as ‘Connie.’
She has also worked in few short films, including ‘Where do You Want to Eat’ (2014), ‘Hit & Run’ (2015), and ‘Detective Calzone’ (2015). In the recent times, she has worked in ‘Everybody Wants Some’ (2016) and played the role of a journalist, ‘Gabbi,’ in the TV series ‘Day 5’ (2017).
At 19, after her yoga training, she tried various things and initially she earned a modest living by teaching yoga to adults and children in several studios. At that time she took acting assignments and while shooting for an indie movie she met director Chris Sharpe, who later became her business partner and they initiated their YouTube channel venture.
Mishler has undergone two vocal cord surgeries due to a benign tumor, so she uses a special microphone while instructing large gatherings during workshops.
She is a vegetarian.
Currently she is writing a book about yoga and planning a ‘Yoga Teacher Training Program.’
