With 21 degrees on Thursday, we came close to a heat record in Nîmes
The temperature was recorded on the Nîmes-Courbessac station
Thursday, in Nîmes (Gard), the mercury went mad: in the heart of winter, no less than 21 degrees were recorded by Météo-France on the Nîmes-Courbessac measurement station, and 20 degrees in Nîmes - Boys.
It is not a heat record for a month of January in the capital of Gard, but not far.
The record dates from January 10, 2015
The temperatures recorded are "only 0.5 degrees from the monthly record for maximum temperature in January for each of the stations, respectively 21.5 and 20.5", specify on Twitter Etienne Kapikian, the forecaster at Météo-France.
These record measurements were taken on January 10, 2015.
