The Giants kept the powerful Blades at bay for the first two periods, but eventually Saskatoon was able to score twice in the final frame to defeat Vancouver 2-1 at the Langley Events Center on Saturday night.
“There were a lot of good things in the first two halves, I felt we played right, didn’t find a way to win,” head coach Michael Dyck said in an interview with Sportsnet650 after the game.
