After a dismal 45-minute opener, in which the two teams canceled out, Emerson finished coldly on a pass from compatriot Ben Davies.
Son, who scored a hat-trick against Leicester the last time he was a Premier League substitute, made the game a surefire one with a flurry and a trademark finish.
