The pressure is mounting on Graham Potter at Chelsea after another defeat at the weekend.
The Blues have won just two of their last 14 games and a loss to Southampton on Saturday could be a turning point.
There were boos at Stamford Bridge at both half-time and full-time as they continue to languish amid the Premier League.
Owner Todd Boehly has spent over £600m since buying the club from Roman Abramovich.
Of that, £323million was spent in January, but there was no change in results.
Now talkSPORT’s chief football correspondent Alex Crook has an update on the latest news with Potter and his job security.
He said: “Two wins out of 14 is just not acceptable. Nathan Jones had a better winning percentage at Southampton than Graham Potter in those 14 games at Chelsea. Truly damning stats.
“I was there on Saturday and it got pretty toxic with boos and half times and full times. Chelsea fans around the press box were clamoring for Graham Potter’s head.
“Briefings coming out of Stamford Bridge on Sunday said Graham Potter retains the support of the board and that this is a long-term project.
“I just hear a whisper or two to the contrary that Todd Boehly might have a different opinion on this.
“They have a huge game against Borussia Dortmund next week, basically their season could come down to that.”
There are a number of top managers out of work at the moment, including former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino who is reportedly keen to return to the Premier League.
“They are so far from the top four that if they are to play Champions League football next year, they will have to win the competition.
“If they want to make a change and it will have to come now. You have Mauricio Pochettino lurking in the background.
“I don’t think Graham Potter is as safe as the noises from Stamford Bridge suggest.”
Chelsea’s next fixtures are against Leeds on Saturday, followed by Borussia Dortmund’s second leg at Stamford Bridge.
