Heavy Rain in Delhi, Light Shower Expected on Tuesday
On Monday evening, heavy rain lashed several parts of Delhi, making it difficult to travel in many places. Safdarjung received 06.6 mm of rain with maximum gusty winds 32 kmph and thunderstorm. Palam reported 10.4 mm rain with maximum gusty winds 46 kmph kmph with thunderstorm, according to the India Meteorological Department.
The IMD has also predicted drizzle and cloudy skies for Tuesday. It has further stated that scattered to fairly widespread light/moderate rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning/gusty winds, along with isolated hailstorm, is likely over the Western Himalayan Region and Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh & Rajasthan on March 20. The IMD added that there will be a significant decrease in rainfall and distribution till March 22, with a fresh spell of rainfall and thunderstorm activity expected to commence over the region from March 23.
