After Cook failed to provide the information Jordan requested, he was subpoenaed last week and told to comply by March 23.
From “Jim Jordan Sends Demands to Big Tech Companies Before 118th Congress,” published December 14, 2022 by the House Judiciary Committee:
Big tech is bent on getting conservatives and is increasingly willing to undermine First Amendment values by complying with Biden administration policies that stifle free speech online. This approach undermines fundamental American principles and allows powerful government actors to silence political opponents and repress opposing viewpoints. Publicly available information indicates that your company’s treatment of certain speakers and content may be due to government policies or guidelines designed to suppress dissent. That’s why we’re writing to request more information about the nature and extent of your companies’ collusion with the Biden administration.
Big Tech’s role in shaping national and international public discourse is well known today. In some cases, Big Tech’s “persistent censorship” was “use[d] silencing prominent voices” and “suppressing views that disagree with the prevailing progressive consensus”. Due to Big Tech’s long range, it can serve as a powerful and effective partisan arm of the “awakened voice police…”.

My Opinion: Jordan, a US representative and former wrestling coach, sent identical letters to Amazon’s Andy Jassy, Google’s Sundar Pichai, Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, and Microsoft’s Satya Nadella. All have been summoned.
