Doesn’t matter if the Columbus Blue Jackets have a deal for Vladislav Gavrikov but are chasing a third team to eat the salary. The New York Rangers received help from among the bottom six. Patrick Kane hit a hatty on his trade audition against the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Boston Bruins suspended Jake DeBrusk, and you’ll be interested to know what an NHL scout had to say about Jeff Carter.
It’s been quite a while since I’ve seen Penguins fans jump like that, although I’m pretty sure I’ll be selling t-shirts for charity that say “Your favorite view isn’t that good.”
Keep in mind that the prospects can actually be worse. Just because they don’t have baggage and you haven’t seen them enough to know their mistakes doesn’t mean the pros aren’t watching them. These pros also hope they are the answer. It’s one thing to pass an AHL goalie from 25 feet. It’s another to play against the best in the world. And remember, no one is held back because Mike Sullivan hates them.
