“Washington Resident Becomes Multi-Millionaire After Winning Record-Breaking Powerball Jackpot!”
After months of no Powerball winner, a ticket sold in Washington state matched all six numbers in Monday night’s drawing.
The Powerball jackpot climbed to an estimated $754.6 million Monday, marking the fifth-biggest jackpot in Powerball history and the ninth-biggest U.S. lottery win ever, officials said.
The jackpot has continued to grow since it was last won on November 19th. Monday was the 34th draw for the current jackpot, Powerball said.
Winning the grand prize would net the winner $747 million if they chose the annuity option, which would be paid out incrementally over 29 years. The popular option – cash option – would net the winner $407.2 million before federal and state taxes.

Did anyone win the Powerball jackpot last night February 6th, 2023?
According to Powerball, a Washington state ticket won all six numbers to win the $747 million jackpot. It was not immediately known where in Washington state the winning ticket was sold.
The lucky winner can also choose the cash option for $407.2 million.
In addition to the jackpot winner, other prizes worth millions were won in the drawing on Monday evening. A ticket bought in Texas matched all five numbers except for the Powerball and added the $2 million Power Play.
Five tickets matched all five numbers except for the $1 million Powerball. They were bought in Michigan and New York.
What are the odds of winning the Powerball?
Playing Powerball can be exciting, but just don’t spend those millions before you win. The game’s miserable odds are designed to earn big prizes that attract more players.
The odds of winning the jackpot are 292,201,338 to 1.
The odds of hitting all five white balls are 11,688,053 to 1.
How do I play Powerball?
Powerball tickets are $2 per game. To play, players choose (or choose to be randomly assigned) five numbers from one to 69 for the white balls and one number from one to 26 for the red powerball.
To win the jackpot, you must match the numbers for all five white balls and the red Powerball.
Aside from the main prize, there are eight other ways you can win a Powerball prize in the non-jackpot stages of the game, depending on how many balls are matched.
Lured by the jackpot?: Here’s how to play Powerball
Non-jackpot prizes start at $4 and go up to $1 million. For an additional $1, you can opt for “Powerplay” – which multiplies non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10.
According to Powerball, the 10X Powerplay is only available when the jackpot is $150 million or less. The game’s second tier “Match 5” prize is capped at $2 million for power play.
An additional add-on feature called “Double Play,” which gives players another chance to compare their numbers after each Powerball draw, is available in some jurisdictions for $1 per game.
