Cristian Stellini has revealed he dropped Heung-min Son for Richarlison against West Ham due to the ‘energy’ given by the Brazilian.
The Tottenham assistant manager led his side in north London during Sunday’s clash with boss Antonio Conte recovering from gallbladder surgery.

And the Italian opted to drop South Korean striker Son for the derby in the capital for Richarlison, who hasn’t scored a Premier League goal since joining from Everton last summer.
But Stellini said his bold move had the approval of Conte, with whom he is in regular contact on a daily basis.
Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the match, Stellini said: “Me, Antonio and Ryan Mason made the decision because we have a great squad.
“We have to make decisions, and today we want to use some energy, we’ve played Sonny many games and maybe this game could be a timeout to have Sonny in the game.
“The reason we have a great team is [for] This.”
The last time Son was dropped for a Premier League game was against Leicester in September, where he came off the bench to score a hat-trick.

When asked if he was hoping for a similar impact this time around, Stellini said: “Yeah.
“We hope every time our players coming off the bench change the game and give us what we need.”
Son has struggled for form this season since winning the Premier League Golden Boot last campaign with 24 strikes.
He has just four top-flight goals to his name this season, with the 30-year-old having failed to find the back of the net since January 4.
