The Order actor is married to his co-star Jocelyn Hudon 1

Jake Manley met his wife, Jocelyn Hudon, through a self-tape coach. The Canadian couple have been together since 2015 when they carpooled to their mutual acting agent’s summer party.

Jocelyn Hudon knew Jake Manley was the one when he suggested skipping a New Year’s Eve party to watch Lord of the Rings over pasta at home. She guest-starred as Jack Morton on a few episodes of The Order in which he starred.

If her mother didn’t believe the actress when she said they wouldn’t have a perfect traditional wedding, Milk Bar’s confetti birthday cake and zombie officiant drove her point home.

Jake Manley is married to Jocelyn Hudon, his The Order co-star

Toronto-born Jocelyn Hudon always wanted to act, and the opportunity to visit a studio with her tweens cemented that desire.

She trained as a ballerina at the National Ballet School of Canada and received two university degrees before booking her first role in Adam Sandler’s Pixels in 2015.

Her various guest appearances on TV shows include Guillermo Del Toro’s The Strain, The Rookie: Feds, Dave, and Ruby in two episodes of The Order.

While auditioning for Grace Bennette in “When Calls the Heart” at Hallmark, she immediately felt connected to the role. She gave the character another try in the one-season spin-off When Hope Calls.

‘The Strain’ actress thought it was accidentally dropped by the studio…

Had she not gone into acting, she would have certainly become a “Soul Cycle teacher,” which isn’t much of a challenge considering she taught rock climbing. Though her favorite song to sing in the shower is Ariana Grande’s “No Tears Left to Cry,” she claims to “rap a mean Biggie Smalls.”

Jake Manley and Jocelyn Hudon had an unconventional engagement and wedding

Given Manley’s light blue eyes and rugged but boyish features, it’s not surprising that during a 2019 interview, Hudon admitted to having crushes on Leonardo DiCaprio and Charlie Hunnam. During the same session, she professed her love for “Gilmore Girls.”

In the Gilmore Girls Season 1 finale, Lauren Graham’s Lorelai gets her fantasy proposal of 1,000 daisies. Manley adapted the scene to propose to Hudon on their fifth anniversary on August 26, 2020.

Manley surprised Hudon with a mountain of roses waiting for her on the roof of her rental home. The ‘The Strain’ actress thought it was accidentally dropped by the studio but understood what was happening as he said “1,000 red roses” before getting down on one knee.

While discussing her engagement, she left a few clues for the producers of Say Yes to the Dress to film her search for a dress. However, buying a sheer black dress from an artist in Ukraine on Etsy might not be a compelling viewing experience, even though it made for wonderful Instagram photos.

The couple distorted tradition by eloping at A Little White Wedding Chapel on October 31, 2021 in Las Vegas. A zombified Elvis Presley impersonator led the Halloween ceremony.

The decision to become a Vegas Halloween bride was made when Hudon found a gap in her busy schedule on her favorite day, which happened to be a Sunday.

Jake Manley’s acting career is on the rise

As of January 2023, the Canadian actor has five upcoming projects, the first of which is The Consultant, which will be fully available on Amazon on February 24, 2023. Manley portrays Patrice in two episodes of the comedic thriller based on Bentley Little’s novel of the same name.

Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz leads the all-star cast, which primarily includes Gen Z actors like Brittany O’Grady, Nat Wolff and Aimee Carrero from “The Menu.”

Second Chances was scheduled for release in 2022 but was still in post-production as of early 2023. Manley is a supporting character in the 10-episode all-female thriller starring Denise Richards, Tiffany Hines and Carolina Gaitàn.

There are more than two chances to see the young actor on the big screen soon. He plays Leo in the drama Redville and his character is sure to have a terrible time in Creepers. He has a small part in the western Outlaw Posse.
