Sudbury, Ontario grandmother was still in shock after her Grammys moment with Harry Styles

As Reina Lafantaisie thinks back to her experience at Sunday night’s Grammy Awards, she still can’t believe it really happened.

“It was just so awesome, I don’t even know how it happened,” said the Sudbury, Ontario grandmother.

“I’m just so grateful that I experienced that and got to see Harry Styles.”

Lafantaisie didn’t just see her favorite artist. She was also on stage to present Styles with his award for best album Harry’s house.

The show’s producers invited Lafantaisie to Los Angeles along with other superfans of the event’s Best Album nominees.

A Sudbury, Ontario grandmother who happens to be a huge Harry Styles fan got the chance of a lifetime when she presented the superstar with his Grammy for Album of the Year.

For Lafantansie, it all happened thanks to a video her granddaughter, Renee Reina, secretly recorded while she was gushing about her favorite artist.

“I was sitting there with my phone and I was like, ‘That would be hilarious on TikTok,’” Reina said.

“It is so sweet. it’s so real So I sat there and secretly filmed them for seven minutes just to talk about Harry Styles. Cut it up, put it on TikTok. And it exploded. And that’s how the producers found us, I think.”

Lafantaisie compares Styles to Elvis Presley, whom she had the privilege of seeing in concert twice.

“I think he [Styles] will be there for a long, long time because of his attitude to what he’s doing,” she said.

She said she connects with Style’s lyrics and personality.

“He’s just a very sincere person and a caring person,” Lafantaisie said.

“And I like his messages. Be nice to people you know, live and let live.”
