Simu Liu commented on the good time he had at the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game over the weekend, but a moment – a video card comparison of a photo of the actor with a photo of a fan who appeared to be of Asian descent – “wasn’t cool” with him.
Liu, who attended the NBA All-Star Weekend event on Friday, voiced his disapproval for the “celebrity lookalike camera” segment that performed at the event in Salt Lake City.
Liu, in a follow-up tweet, clarified his feelings on the segment.
“To be perfectly clear, the entire organizing and operating team surrounding All-Star has been nothing but stellar to me and all of my friends,” Liu wrote.
“It was just a person with a camera. and no disrespect to my videotron man either! he’s gorgeous, we just don’t look alike.
The NBA did not immediately respond to a HuffPost request for comment on the lookalike segment.
