Citizens of a northwest Indiana the town were stunned then a tender woman died of a gunshot wound following the invention of a gun in a close-by place of dwelling. Consistent with police, the lady was once enjoying with the gun when it unintentionally immune, hitting her within the chest. The woman was once taken to the medical institution, however died of her accidents. The investigation continues to be ongoing.
Neighbors are devastated then a 2-year-old woman died then she it sounds as if took her personal past then discovering a gun within a cell house in northwest Indiana.
“It was awful. It made my stomach ache for this to happen,” says Felicia Snodgrass.
Snodgrass lives nearest door and on Tuesday morning round 11 a.m. she says she heard a noisy background noise.
“I was like ‘oh my God, this can’t be good,’” she recalled. “I had clear them rush the infant into the ambulance there, and I used to be like ‘oh wow, I hope the baby is okay. “”
Police say immediate help was administered to the child, now identified as Grace Rodriguez. She was rushed to a hospital in Portage before being airlifted to a trauma center in Illinois, where she was later pronounced dead.
Investigators believe she found a gun inside the residence and it exploded when she picked it up.
Police said the girl was home with her mother, who called 911 after the shooting.
What is not known at this time is where the weapon was located or how the girl gained access to the weapon.
Portage police say it will be up to the county attorney’s place of business to decide whether or not prison fees shall be filed.
Snodgrass, who has two kids of her personal, says the taking pictures is a reminder of the usefulness of gun protection and says her center is going out to the lady and her nation.
“Check your weapons. Make sure your security lock is on and put them behind the lock and key,” she says. “I take into account that you wish to have to offer protection to your nation, however you must have that safety. There are regulations for a reason why.
