Pamela Anderson says she reached out to Britney Spears privately after the pop star expressed public support for her.
Anderson’s memoirs, Dear Pamelaand Netflix documentary, Pamela, A Love Story, were both released last week so the Baywatch Alum to tell her story (as opposed to others who tell it for her or steal and sell her picture captured in private home videos). Spears took to Instagram and declared himself “such a fan” of the playboy cover star and praised Anderson’s sons — including Brandon Thomas Lee, who produced the doc — for standing up for their mother.
Anderson, 55, tells entertainment tonight canada Upon hearing what Spears had posted, “I wrote her a letter back. Hope she got it by now, just a private letter.”
She suggested a joint connection between her and the singer, who famously fought her father to finish her conservatory.
“It’s tough when the people closest to you betray you or use you,” he said Barbed Wire said Stern. “You’re like a moneymaker. It’s painful.”

In Spears’ post over the weekend, which was deleted, she proclaimed herself “such a fan of Pamela Anderson. She was once, and still is, the only sex icon in America.” She said Anderson “gave me the understanding that people should support you right where you are at this moment in your life…unless Cruelty rules the world.”
Spears was particularly touched by the support Anderson’s sons, including Dylan Jagger Lee, have shown their mother, including at the January 30 documentary screening. Spears is estranged from her two teenage sons, Preston and Jayden Federline. Her father, Kevin Federline, sold an interview last year in which he spoke about that estrangement.
“I really respect the fact that her kids stood up for her because people were trying to sell her story from the past,” Spears wrote.
Anderson’s interview with the media outlet also included a new response to Tim Allen’s denial that he blitzed her on set handyman when she was the “Tool Time” girl in the early ’90s.

Retelling the story set in her memoir, Anderson said, “It was the first day of shooting and I was in my dressing room and I came out, and then he came out of his dressing room and he had this robe on. and he goes [gestures opening a robe]. And then he closes it and says, “Now we’re even — I saw you naked,” referring to her playboy Centerfolds: “You saw me naked. Now we can start the show.” How could you invent that?”
She added that Allen “ran back into his [dressing] Zimmer.” She said he seemed “embarrassed” afterward and “acted like a giddy little schoolboy.”
As for Allen’s denial — that “it never happened” and he “would never do anything like that” — she’s not surprised in the post-#MeToo era.
“He has to be in denial because look at the times we’re in,” she told doc, telling Yahoo he wasn’t surprised Allen was in denial, too.)
Anderson added that “many of these stories” in her book “are just the tip of the iceberg. I was just talking about really pivotal moments to convey that some of these things happened, you know, in my childhood, my career. And I kind of wanted to throw in some of those things. I mean not all. Obviously I haven’t told every story in my life, otherwise I would be writing volumes.
About the importance of telling this story, she remarked, “It was because it was my first job,” when she transferred from there playboy to acting, “that I thought it was important to say that.”
Anderson also said in the interview that she still has her red Baywatch Bathing suit when she played CJ Parker from 1992 to 1997 — and it fits.
“I had a few back then,” she revealed. “Now I only have one and it fits. I wear it every now and then.”

She said she’s also been known to break it out for a party.
“One time I was with my friends, I was with Luke Gilford, this photographer, and I was at a party with him. I remember they said, ‘Where’s Pamela?’ I jumped in the shower and came out soaking wet and gave everyone mouth to mouth.”
In her memoir, Anderson wrote about an obsessed fan who once broke into her guest house and lived there for days before being discovered. When she was, the woman — who had bleached her hair blonde — wore Anderson’s Baywatch Swimsuit which she appears to have stolen from the star’s bedroom closet.
Anderson spoke in the documentary about making very little money from the series, which was number 1 in the world at the time. The blonde bombshell has had money problems throughout her career, despite the fact that her ex-husband, of 10 days, has vowed to leave her $10 million in his will. While her stolen sextape with husband Tommy Lee was the most downloaded of its time, they turned down a $5 million payday and said it wasn’t for sale. They never benefited from it, they both said.
Anderson has also said while promoting the book that she was negotiating a cameo in 2017 Baywatch film starring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron, she experienced “bullying” from producers trying to get her to do it for free. A spokesman for Paramount did not comment on the claim, reported in diversity.
