Jake Paul has promised to fight Carl Froch if he takes on Anderson Silva on his undercard next week.
This follows Froch calling Paul and calling him a “clown” just days before the YouTube sensation faced off against Tommy Fury in the ring.
After a war of words that dominated boxing for months, the two fighters will finally meet on February 26 at the Diriyah Arena in Saudi Arabia.
But the tirade of licks came from many corners, including British boxing legend Froch and Paul responded by challenging him to the ring – but only if he faces the former middleweight champion first. of the UFC, Silva.
The American tweeted: “Carl Froch is mad because I’ve earned more in a year than he earned in his entire career.
“You want payday. I understand.
“So let’s do that, let’s fight Anderson Silva on my next card and if you’re lucky and you beat him then we can get in the ring and you win your career. Let me know.”
This follows claims Froch made on iFL TV, where he said: “These YouTubers are not [putting on] real boxing matches is entertainment.
“I’m including Jake Paul in there, he’s not a professional, he’s an artist.
“He’s good at it, so fair play with him, I have nothing against him.
“Don’t call yourself a professional fighter, you are a performing clown as they say.”
Froch went on to insist he could make Paul’s job easier despite his last fight nine years ago, winning his last fight in a rematch against George Groves.
He added: “If a fight with Jake Paul really happened and he was like, ‘Yeah, I’m going to fight Froch,’ which he would never do because it would be ridiculous.
“I may be 45, but any retired professional world champion who keeps himself in shape would have absolutely no problem playing with Jake Paul.
“It would be like a shift. You’ll probably have to practice a little, just to fill your lungs and heart with some air.
“Prepare so you can do at least two minutes of a lap.
“You don’t have to worry about going two or three rounds, but you have to be able to throw at least 10 punches.
“So yes, I’m going to put myself in the 10-hit state but it’s not going to happen.”
