This aim is to increase public, academic, and state support for the longevity field. The conference also aims to build the supportive longevity ecosystem in Israel, boost the prominence of the field in Israel, and enhance Israel’s international standing and cooperation in the longevity field.

The conference hopes to build up longevity R&D and education support programs for stakeholders in Israel and international collaborators. The event is free to attend and is being held both online and in person. The Longevity Nation conference promises to be an informative and educational event for all those interested in the longevity field.

The Longevity Nation conference aims to advocate and spread awareness about the longevity field, drawing more people and support to the cause. According to Ilia Stambler, Chairman and CSO of Vetek Association, the conference has been a highly successful means of advocacy, previously encouraging research proposals on aging and longevity by the Israel Ministry of Science, BIRAX Ageing, and others.

The conference has also had practical impacts for increasing support for the longevity field in Israel and for international collaborations. For example, the conference organized in Knesset in 2018 resulted in the section on “Enhancing research, development and education for healthy longevity and prevention of aging-related diseases” being added to the Israel National Masterplan on Aging, published by Knesset in 2019.

The upcoming conference aims to revive that program, which is reflected in the conference’s name: “Enhancing research, development and education for healthy longevity”. According to Stambler, live conferences are more effective than online conferences for advocacy and community building, and the conference hopes to build up the longevity community and encourage more participation and involvement in the field.

The conference features 36 speakers, including world-leading figures in the longevity field, and 26 partners and sponsors, including world-leading longevity organizations, who share the goal of advocating and building the longevity community. The conference is a joint effort to explore the interdisciplinary interrelations of science, technology, and society in addressing the challenges of population aging.
