Here is a woman who spoke freely with a way that wasn’t portrayed. . . . But I’m from the Black West, wholesome but fierce women. I wanted to bring that into my work. I lassoed people and it opened the floodgates. I’m still amazed by all of these amazing women who are I’m making action movies now, who aren’t afraid of guns and don’t put their heads in the sand I feel good that it’s helped other women to express themselves and be strong, without fear. I’m really happy about that.
