Empowering Abu Dhabi's Digital Leaders 1

The Abu Dhabi School of Government (ADSG), in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADDA), Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy (ADGMA), and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), has launched the Future Digital Leaders and Young Digital Leaders programs to equip Abu Dhabi government employees with digital capabilities to contribute to Abu Dhabi’s continued digital transformation. The Future Digital Leaders program aims to empower government employees to become efficient digital leaders, while the Young Digital Leaders program aims to develop their competencies in six domains of technology management. These programs aim to provide participants with a comprehensive set of technical and practical skills that will empower them to make meaningful contributions to their entities and excel in a technology-driven world while realizing their professional potential as digital leaders. The Abu Dhabi government is fostering a culture of development and excellence by supporting the learning ecosystem of the government through world-class educational opportunities based on international best practices and adapted to the needs of the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

ADSG Partners with ADDA, ADGMA, and MIT to Launch Educational Programs for Abu Dhabi’s Digital Transformation

The Abu Dhabi School of Government (ADSG), a part of the Department of Government Support (DGS), has recently launched two educational programs to support the digital transformation of Abu Dhabi. These programs, the Future Digital Leaders and Young Digital Leaders, are held in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADDA), the Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy (ADGMA), and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). They are part of the Strategic Track of the Abu Dhabi Digital Program and aim to equip Abu Dhabi government employees with the digital capabilities needed to contribute to Abu Dhabi’s continued digital transformation.

The Future Digital Leaders program focuses on providing government employees with the essential skills and expertise to become efficient digital leaders in their respective entities. Through this program, participants gain fundamental skills that will enable them to thrive in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world. On the other hand, the Young Digital Leaders program aims to develop participants’ competencies in six domains of technology management, including critical thinking, system thinking, emerging technologies, radical innovation, organizational strategy, and leadership.

According to His Excellency Dr. Yasir Al Naqbi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi School of Government, the launch of these programs aligns with ADSG’s efforts to nurture and shape globally competitive talent that is qualified to lead the government of the future. He further added that these programs will provide Abu Dhabi government employees with a unique opportunity to gain a comprehensive set of technical and practical skills that will empower them to make meaningful contributions in their entities and excel in a technology-driven world while realizing their professional potential as digital leaders.

Abu Dhabi Government Employees to Benefit from Digital Leadership Programs

According to His Excellency Dr. Mohamed AbdelHameed Al Askar, Director General of ADDA, the Future Digital Leaders and Young Digital Leaders programs will enable Abu Dhabi government’s young employees to become digital leaders. These transformational programs will unlock their potential and map out their journey towards digital excellence.

The Young Digital Leaders program, a 6-month program, will enable Nationals to develop as future and young digital leaders. Hamad Sayah Al Mazrouei, Chairman of ADGMA, stated that they are committed to supporting the development of the nation’s knowledge-economy in alignment with the UAE’s wise leadership’s vision and will continue to play their part in contributing towards growing, upskilling and reskilling local talent.

The Abu Dhabi School of Government aims to provide world-class educational opportunities to government employees based on international best practices and adapted to the needs of the emirate of Abu Dhabi, supporting the learning ecosystem of the emirate’s government.
