Bitter Lemon’s big catches 1

The problem with Don Lemon is that no one ever told him he wasn’t as good as he thought.

He’s handsome and works in an industry that can inflate even the most constrained egos. Obviously, the CNN anchor has no constraints. He allowed his ego to grow bigger than a Chinese weather balloon.

We are now observing in real time the inevitable Lemon downsizing process.

CNN doesn’t do that.

He does this to himself by exposing his toxic chauvinism to his female colleagues.

Since losing his one-man prime-time show due to low ratings, Lemon has had an internal tantrum that regularly erupts on camera. He doesn’t want to share the limelight with anyone, let alone a few chicks.

Thus, he has been mean to his co-hosts, rudely interrupting them, insulting them, hogging the spotlight, belittling them, demoralizing them, correcting them, talking to them, and even, apparently, berating them in front of the crew. .

Lemon’s latest outburst of misogyny came Thursday when he said a woman Nikki Haley’s age was too old to run for president. At 51, he said, the former UN ambassador is not “in the prime of life”.

Haley’s speech is that it’s time for a younger generation to take matters into their own hands. True, given that the president is 80 years old. But Lemon, who is five years older than Haley, spotted what he sees as a weakness in his argument.

“Nikki Haley isn’t at her peak, sorry,” he said. “A woman is considered to be in her prime in her 20s, 30s and maybe 40s.”

Lemon thinks Nikki Haley isn’t fit to run for president because she’s no longer at her peak.

At the time, he looked directly at co-host Poppy Harlow, 40.

“What are you talking about? Wait, prime for what?” she challenged him.

Lemon continued to dig. “It’s just like, first. If you are looking for it. If you google “when is a woman in her prime?” it will say 20s, 30s, and 40s. »

Harlow did a sarcastic double pump: “Ah! 40 years old! I have another decade.

Their co-host Kaitlan Collins looked at Lemon in disbelief.

Lemon: “I’m not saying I’m okay with that.”

Harlow, head tilted to the side: “I think we have to qualify. Are you talking about premium for like having children? »

Lemon, sensing his anger: “Don’t shoot the messenger. I’m just saying what the facts are. Search it on Google. Everybody home, when is a woman in her prime? 20, 30 and 40 years old. I’m just saying Nikki Haley should be careful. . . because she wouldn’t be at her peak, according to, you know. . .”

Harlow, smiling: “Google?”

Collins looked appalled at the rant which was clearly aimed at Harlow.

“Google,” Lemon said.

Weird that he googles such a question.

But what he meant was, “Don’t interrupt me, woman!” Watch and learn. I had my own primetime show, don’t you know? I won three Emmies. Eat your heart, Poppy! I was elected class president in my senior year! I was in Out Magazine’s Power 50 of “most influential LGBTQ people” in 2017! Why am I here? It is not fair. Wow.”

“Don’t Advance”

The thing is, Lemon doesn’t like women. He doesn’t care to share a camera with them.
In December, he allegedly made Collins, 30, cry because she “interrupted” him on the air.

Two weeks ago, he delayed a commercial break to poke fun at Collins’ interview with House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, who criticized Big Tech’s censorship over the Hunter laptop story. Biden of the Post.

Back in the studio, Lemon was unimpressed.

“This is the moment we are in, where the facts are sort of flexible,” he sighed.

“That’s why we have Kaitlan Collins on the Hill, doing real-time fact-checking,” Harlow said brightly.

Lemon continued as if she hadn’t spoken.

“Disbelief Quote [sic] sources like citing the New York Post as a credible source,” said the fake news provider, who gave Jussie Smollett secret advice to keep his race hoax alive.
Google, says the fake journalist who cites Google as an authority.

Harlow tried to get the show back on track: “Kaitlan, that was a great interview. All right. Let’s move on.

Lemon didn’t want a woman telling him to move on.

“I’m not moving,” he said. “Wait, please, with the music,” he told the producer as he tried to get into a commercial.

It turns out CNN boss Chris Licht is annoyed by the lack of harmony on a show that’s a hearing dog.

So he carried the sour lemon in CNN’s editorial call on Friday. Well, not exactly.

Lemon called from Miami where he was sunbathing at a $2,000-a-night hotel.
He was supposed to apologize but couldn’t help but deliver a homily about not being a misogynist, even though he plays one on TV.

“The people I am closest to in this organization are women. . . The person I am closest to is my mother, a woman. . . I will continue to be who I am. »

Lemon is not sorry. He is annoyed to have to explain himself.

“The reference I made to a woman’s ‘bounty’ this morning was inartistic and out of place . . . and I regret it,” he tweeted.

Inartful means “awkwardly expressed but not necessarily wrong”.

So Lemon meant what he said, and he was pushing a co-host who he considers outdated.

Climb up there

Truth be told, Lemon is not a spring chicken. Prime time is behind him, sixties are knocking on his door, and he’s about to find that you end up with, not the pretty face you were born with, but the one that reflects who you are.

This is the problem of aging. It reveals how a life unfolded. The face settles into patterns of petulance or self-control, selfishness or generosity.

Needless to say, negative emotions don’t come out well.

Lemon should learn not to be too self-centered so he can save face in a number of ways.

Joe’s management of Ohio is ‘toxic’

For two weeks, the Biden administration refused to grant FEMA aid for what was clearly a disaster in eastern Palestine, Ohio, after its toxic train derailed with wider implications. wide for groundwater and food supply. But soon after Donald Trump announced on Saturday that he was heading to eastern Palestine, FEMA did an about-face.

Incredible the change since the Biden administration denied Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine’s late request for federal disaster assistance, with one official saying, ‘FEMA is on the front line when there’s a hurricane. or a tornado. This situation is different.

The difference is that Trump always puts Americans first and always has an impact.

But the pressing question is who authorized the “controlled burning” of toxic chemicals on the derailed train that appears to have exacerbated the problem and created a poisonous fungus similar to a WWI chemical weapon?

Hazardous materials specialist Sil Caggiano told Tucker Carlson last week he was “stunned” by the decision to blow up the train, “to dump all the chemicals in a trench and set them on fire.” . . When you set this thing on fire, you were creating phosgenes, you were creating hydrogen chlorides. You created this plume and within that plume were the incomplete products of combustion of everything in it. . . things were rushing into people’s property. . . Now we have found vinyl chlorides in the water.
“There has to be a plan moving forward,” he said.

No plan from Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. When he finally managed to divert his attention from the skin color of the construction workers, he addressed the disaster, but only to brush it aside because, hey, trains derail all the time, so what’s the big issue.

“While this horrific situation has drawn particularly high attention, there are approximately a thousand cases of train derailments a year,” Buttigieg said. Reader Alfredo has a mission for Secretary Pete: “Why don’t you reduce train derailments in the United States to zero!” You get what you accept.
