Facebook no longer wants us to "like" its pages
Facebook is bringing several new features at the start of the year, and in particular the abandonment of “likes” on pages of brands or personalities
Did you like them? You won't like them anymore. Who ? Facebook pages of public figures, designers and other brands. Mark Zuckerberg's social network has just announced some changes, including the disappearance of likes .
Tested this fall , the removal of “likes” is supposed to allow us to focus on subscribers - full people - more than on the number of likes. This is not the first time that Facebook has dropped likes. The American company had already done this on Instagram by removing the number of "likes" under the publications.
A simpler, more intuitive interface
For the rest, it is a question of simplifying the interface for the administrators, but also for the visitors and to make the navigation more intuitive. The tools to fight against spam and fake accounts are also reinforced. Other new features will enrich the Pages in the coming weeks.
"We've redesigned the look and feel to be cleaner and simpler than before, including making it easier to view bios, posts and other important information," Facebook says on its blog.
The social network also indicates that a new news feed will be set up on these Pages, in order to facilitate discoveries and interactions with other fans.
Facebook thus wishes to strengthen the link between fans and public figures, which is why the latter's publications will be pinned and a question-and-answer system will also be set up. The Pages will offer new connections with other public figures, pages or groups that may appeal to visitors.
