It was already possible to drive a 100% electric Citroën Berlingo. Yes, but on condition that you opt for its utility version Van. Practical when you are a courier or a craftsman, but much less when it comes to carrying all your little family. Fortunately comes the turn of the ë-Berlingo “tout court”, the one accessible to the general public.

Like its “tôlé” twin and its close cousins from the Stellantis galaxy (ex-PSA), Peugeot e-Rifter and other Opel Combo-e Life, the herringbone brand's MPV is based on a 100 kW machine (i.e. 136 hp) and a 50 kWh lithium-ion battery. These are indeed the elements of the e-CMP platform, common to the most compact electric models of the group ( Peugeot e-208 , Opel Corsa-e , DS3 Crossback E-Tense, etc.).

The ë-Berlingo logically inherits certain other characteristics already encountered elsewhere, such as the three driving modes, thanks to which the power of the mechanics is adjusted to 60, 80 or 100 kW for the choice, favoring performance and amenity or autonomy. But in the best case, the range of action of this Citroën reaches 280 km according to the WLTP cycle.

Distance at the end of which it will be necessary to pass through the recharge box. If this stage drags on on the domestic network (allow a good fifteen hours), the onboard charger admits a maximum power of 100 kW and then makes it possible to recover 80% of the 50 kWh of the battery in about 30 minutes.

Without therefore proposing a technological revolution, the ë-Berlingo nevertheless integrates the small committee of electric vehicles capable of accommodating up to 7 people on board. Like its thermal engine brothers, it is also available in two body lengths, 4.40 m or 4.75 m. In the second case, its loading volume peaks at 2,126 liters. So everyone has their own way of charging this electric vehicle ...
