She is a multi-talented personality who entered the entertainment world at the tender age of just two years. Proclaiming her life to be a roller-coaster ride with constant work commitments from an early age, she quips that she “did not have a real life” while growing up. This gorgeous young lady from Missouri was brought up in the Roman Catholic faith, but now stresses that she is not religious anymore. Her lineage traces back to ethnic Germans who hailed from the ‘then’ Russian empire. Beginning her career as a child actor, she eventually forayed into modeling and music as well. Childhood & Early Life
Taylor Michel Momsen was born on 26 July 1993, in St. Louis, Missouri (USA). Born to Colette and Michael Momsen, she traces her roots to Russia. Her family descends from ethnic Germans who lived in the then-Russian Empire. She has a sister Sloane Momsen who is an actor and a model as well.
The siblings were raised in the Roman Catholic religion with a convent education at the Lady of Lourdes School for elementary studies. She then went to the Herbert Hoover Middle School in Potomac (Maryland). She honed her dancing skills at the prestigious ‘Center for Creative Arts’, St. Louis.
Momsen is a child star; her first tryst with fame came very early when she was signed up with Ford Models when she was just two.
Her first TV commercial was for ‘Shake ‘n Bake’ in 1997 at the tender age of three years. She then became famous as ‘Cindy Lou Who’, a character in the acclaimed ‘Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas’, at seven years of age in 2000.
