Gravity Media and Cricket Australia have partnered to deliver the broadcast coverage for the Sheffield Shield Final. Using their state-of-the-art high-definition outside broadcast and production trucks, Gravity Media Australia will provide 12 cameras to cover the event. Along with new remote broadcast production technology, Gravity Media Australia’s proprietary CELBO broadcast production solution will be introduced to provide coverage for a number of cricket matches. The technology will allow for a complete broadcast production with on-screen graphics and multiple camera replay capabilities, as well as simplifying logistics, reducing the production footprint at events, delivering greater flexibility in resources, and enhancing and streamlining production and technology workflows for Gravity Media Australia and its partners. This summer of cricket has seen Gravity Media Australia in partnership with Cricket Australia broadcasting 22 matches in the Marsh One Day Cup, 35 matches in the WBBL, the WNCL Final, the Australia A v West Indies tour match, the GGXI v Pakistan Women’s Match, and the Sheffield Shield Final. Cricket Australia and Gravity Media’s partnership has helped to further cement cricket’s position as Australia’s favourite sport.
Gravity Media’s Remote Technology Solutions for Sheffield Shield Final Broadcast Confirmed
Gravity Media and Cricket Australia have announced that they will be delivering the broadcast coverage for the Sheffield Shield Final. This is part of their expanding partnership to provide coverage of cricket across various networks including FOX Sports, Kayo and the Cricket Network. The Sheffield Shield Final is scheduled to be held from March 23-26, 2023 and will be broadcasted on these networks.
Gravity Media Australia will be using their state-of-the-art high-definition outside broadcast and production trucks along with 12 cameras to cover the event. Additionally, Gravity Media Australia will be using new remote broadcast production technology involving cellular and cloud-based solutions to deliver over 350 hours of coverage over the 2022-2023 summer.
Gravity Media Australia’s proprietary CELBO broadcast production solution will also be introduced to provide coverage for a number of cricket matches. CELBO is a new live stream technology that allows remote production of events through cellular and cloud-based technologies to deliver individual camera and audio feed coverage to Gravity’s Production Centers in Sydney and Melbourne. This will allow Gravity Media Australia and Cricket Australia to create, direct, and deliver a complete broadcast production, including on-screen graphics and multiple camera replay capabilities.
