Carolina Panthers Add Veteran Wide Receiver Thielen

The Carolina Panthers have signed free agent wide receiver Adam Thielen, who was recently released by the Minnesota Vikings. Thielen caught 70 passes for 716 yards and six touchdowns last season while playing alongside All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson. The 32-year-old veteran received a three-year deal, but the terms have not been disclosed. Thielen caught 534 passes for 6,682 yards and 55 touchdowns in 135 games during his nine-year career with the Vikings. He has been selected to two Pro Bowls and will bring valuable experience to the Panthers’ wide receiver room. The Panthers traded D.J. Moore to the Chicago Bears as part of a deal that included giving up four draft picks, and they have been adding experienced players to the roster. They have also signed running back Miles Sanders, tight end Hayden Hurst, and quarterback Andy Dalton in recent weeks. The Panthers are expected to use the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft on a quarterback.
