Margarita: a Proudly Mexican cocktail worth celebrating with Tequila Patrón 1

On February 22, International Margarita Day is celebrated, one of the most popular cocktails in the world and that is undoubtedly a great symbol of Mexican pride because it is made from a distillate that is fundamental within the cultural tradition of our country: tequila.

Tequila Patrón is an expert in ultra-premium cocktails and is the ideal ingredient for the preparation of this iconic drink. Its method of artisanal elaboration, made with the passion of 60 Mexican hands in the Hacienda Patrón, in Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco, makes it the ideal ingredient for a good Margarita, and this year we want to celebrate it not only in its day but throughout the month.

Here are some reasons why the Margarita is a cocktail that has earned a special place in the hearts of lovers of Haute cocktails:

  1. It is an extremely popular cocktail due to its freshness, soft texture and mixture of sweet and sour flavor and, above all, because it is very simple to prepare. The only thing you need to prepare it is lemon juice, orange liqueur and, of course, the Tequila Patrón of your preference.
  2. The incredible thing about the Margarita is that it is not limited only to the original recipe, but invites creativity and innovation to be able to experiment with an endless number of variants. Tequila Patrón is a tequila with great versatility due to its flavor and light aroma, so it can be used for dozens of different recipes of Margaritas with any ingredient you have at home.
  3. There are different versions about the origin of the Margarita. It is not known for sure who was the first person who prepared it (the legends that claim to have been the pioneers range from a bar in Ciudad Juárez to a hotel in Puebla, passing through a canteen in Ensenada, among others). What is certain is that it was invented in Mexico and that from the moment of its creation it became a symbol of pride and a reference of Mexican culture before the rest of the world.

For these reasons and for many more we celebrate International Margarita Day as a symbol of pride for Mexicans.
