Daft Punk has just released nine unreleased tracks
The tracks appeared on the deluxe version of the "Tron: Legacy" soundtrack
It's a discreet return. Seven years after their last album Random Access Memories, the duo Daft Punk has just released nine unreleased tracks, which appeared on the deluxe version of the soundtrack Tron: Legacy, to mark the tenth anniversary of the release of the film of the same name.
This is not, however, an announcement of their return. Regularly, rumors of a comeback of the duo formed by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter turn around. For example, it has been announced several times that they intend to give an exceptional concert in the magical setting of the arenas of Nîmes, in the Gard.
Last tour
The group, which rose from the house music scene where it was born in France in the 1990s to international fame, has only performed sporadically since the end of their last tour in 2007.
We saw them at the 2017 Grammy Awards, alongside Canadian singer The Weeknd whose third album, released at the end of 2016, Starboy contains two songs concocted with Daft Punk. During his 2014 Grammy performance, Daft Punk received five awards, including the Queens categories for Best Recording and Best Album of the Year for Random Access Memories.
